ContextTube is a Chrome extension that filters YouTube video recommendations by mode. We are committed to protecting your privacy.

Data We Collect

We do not collect any personal data.

All settings (modes, keywords, license key) are stored locally on your device using Chrome’s built-in storage API (chrome.storage.local). No data is transmitted to our servers.

License Key Verification

When you activate a Pro license, your license key is sent to our verification server (Cloudflare Workers) solely to validate the purchase. The key is not stored on our servers after verification.

Third-Party Services

• LemonSqueezy: handles payment processing. See LemonSqueezy Privacy Policy.
• YouTube: this extension operates on YouTube pages but does not interact with YouTube’s API or transmit any YouTube data externally.

Permissions

• storage: to save your mode settings locally on your device.
• https://www.youtube.com/*: to apply filters on YouTube pages.
